CHASING SUCCESS
A lesson that I have learned recently is why do many of us chase success. We want success in any form. We are hungry for it, we crave it, we dream about it and we taste it every minute of our day. Why? Why do we chase success? Why do we want to have success so much? What is missing in our lives?
Did you ever think why do you need it? What does it bring to your life? One day not long ago I suddenly decided to explore these very questions. Almost all my life I have been taught that success is important in our lives What I do think is that it has to come from a very deep place within ourselves.
What I have learned recently is, that in my personal view, it is more than just success. In order to attain success as Joe Vitale says, we have to be in a state of not needing it. I believe that when I did this journey search I have become aware of some things that I never came upon before and I would like to share it today with you.
What I have found might shock you. We chase success many times because we are looking to fulfill something we believe we lack and because we want to feel loved and appreciated by others.
Let's look at the first part of fulfilling something we believe we lack. I know someone who all her life believed that she is incompetant and she was chasing success because she wanted to fill in that void. She thought that if she gains success than she will feel competant. She didn't know it in the beginning, it took her a while to figure it out.
What happens is that the more she feels that way, the more she will recieve what she is afraid of because the way she percieves herself will reflect on the outside. What she has learned is that she has to accept that she is this way and afterwards change the perspective into one that empowers her, meaning feeling competant. When I talk about competance I am refering to professional competance. Feeling that you are excellent at what you do, that you know you are excellent at it.
The second part is feeling loved and appreciated by others. Success can bring outside appreciation, but it won't last for long unless the person feels self-appreciation and self-love. It all comes from a very deep level, from the supreme self. Feeling good about who you are first and than others will automatically feel it and start acting towards you in a more positive way.
Success is self-growth and learning constantly what is really important in our lives and being able to appreciate the present moment. Seeing life as a learning process and dealing with obstacles well in the best way we can.
I hope that through this post i have given you a different perspective about success and that success will come to us when we least expect it too and when we don't feel the need for it. Let the Universe surpise you and be grateful for every little surprise.

HOW DECLUTTERING AFFECTS YOUR MIND.
Finally I have done my paperwork. I went even further by cleaning up the mess I had in one of the corners of my room that has been bothering me for quite some time.
My space looks so much better now. I wonder how to do a video and post it here. I know how to make a video, but gush how do I upload it here. So I am very proud of my work because I feel so relieved.
I noticed that since I have done that I have found a lot of answers to questions I had for a very long time. I also was able to make some important decisions. It is amazing how clearing your physical space helps you put order in the little inner jungle we live with everyday. A jungle of so many thoughts and overwhelm.
Every time I feel ready I tuckle another corner or room or section in my house and clear all the things I don't need. I don't do it on a regular basis, but rather only when I feel the need to.
What do you think? What are you doing about your clutter? How do you feel about clutter or how do you feel about having an organized space? Did you notice the effect it has on your life and your thoughts? I would love to hear your thoughts about it.

DECLUTTERING BRINGS CLARITY
Recently I have been busy decluttering. I love decluttering, it is such a relief. Decluttering is not just clearing your physical space, but also your mental space. It brings clarity into your life. When you declutter you clean up your mind by getting rid of some old thoughts and beliefs and than prepare your mind for fresh new ideas.
My space is still not where I want it to be, but my closets are a little better. My next and biggest challenge is to clear up my paperwork and it is a challenge because I don't know where to place it. I don't have a specific space to put it yet. I have some ideas like putting it in some shoeboxes or buying something that I can put the papers in.
I will post soon to let you know where I am in the process.

WHY MY CHILD DOESN'T READ?
How do you get your child to read when they don't want to?
At some point as parents we face this issue, especially as our children grow up. Often the situation results in frustration, argument and no results.
What to do?
I decided that the simple way to deal with it is to let go. What I did is I decided to show my son that I love to read. Children often learn from imitation and as parents we are their role models. We are the ones who set an example to our kids and the ones who model the right behaviour. Do you think that begging your child will make him read? I noticed that it gave me worst results. My son is the kind of kid that needs someone to sit with him, he won't read on his own, even though he is big now. He loves to have attention and quality time. I rather sit with him when I can and read with him rather than leave him by himself and not have him read.
Back to modeling the behaviour. Once a child see that you read regularly, at some point he might want to do it as well. For instance, I noticed that when my husband watches TV a lot, my son will do the same. Well that is a not a desired behaviour we want, but it is just an example to illustrate the power of imitation.
Last night my daughter asked me to read her a book before going to sleep, and almost every evening she wants me to read her a book. My daughter is still small and can't read by herself yet. My son was not fully asleep and after I finished reading to my daughter, he surprised me by expressing the desire to read a book. He sat there for half an hour and read, something he didn't do before. To my surprise he even read by himself. OOf! finally! A sigh of relief!
My opinion is that you just have to find a subtle gentle way to encourage children to read. Letting go and accepting a situation is the most powerful way that I found works well. It might sometimes take time, but it is worth while because it gets a quality result rather than a forced result. While reading this statement you might feel that you are being lenient, but not at all, it is rather being a better parent.
What do you think? What are methods you have tried and found worked for you? I would love to hear from you.

THE POWER OF THE MIND
Do you ever listen to your thoughts? Do you know how powerful your thoughts are? 90% of our brain is subconscious and only 10% is which means that most of the time we are unaware of what we are thinking.
Do you know that the way you think affects the way you feel about yourself and others? Yes tremendously. People can feel how you perceive yourself. If you feel guilty, people will make you feel even guiltier because they catch up the vibe. They are not aware that they do, they do it naturally. Did it ever happen to you? How did you feel? Do you feel like blaming someone else for this feeling? If you do don't, instead see it as a way for the other person to send you an awareness message about how you feel inside.
With time I learned to be aware of these things and it is amazing how rapidly one catches up with these things once you practice.
If you want to be aware of your thoughts, I suggest that you sit down in a quite place, close your eyes, take 3 deep breathes and start to listen to your thoughts. You can also write them down in order to increase your awareness.
Our life is evolved around thoughts, but we as individuals have the power to control them.
Notice what kind of thoughts you have. Are they positive thoughts or negative ones? What do you focus on most? What subject do you think about most of the time?
Did you know that your thoughts can also affect your health? So far I didn't see scientific evidence of that as much as I know, but I did observe it and many people already observed it such as Louise Hay and Lise Bourbeau who also found ways of healing certain diseases.
I am a great believer in the Power of the mind. I believe that the mind is a very powerful tool and if we know how to use it we can use it very effectively in our life as long as we help other people and do good deeds.
Have you noticed your personal Power? Do you listen to your thoughts? What have you noticed? I would love to hear from you. You know it is nice to write blogs, but it is even more interesting when I get comments and see what is your take on things as well.

HOW PASSION TRANSFORMS YOUR LIFE
When I went to Las Vegas I met a dancer who gave us a tour at the backstage of a show. I was fascinated by this tour. This woman showed us the backstage and explained to us every detail. What I loved most is that she was so friendly, warm, pleasant and seemed very confident.
This woman was so passionate about what she has showed us and her love for dancing was so vivid and honest. I mean you can see when someone really loves what they do by the way they talk. You can feel someone enthusiasm right away and that is the vibration that attracts what you want into your life.
This dancer was very knowledgeable about her profession. I am so grateful and happy to have had the opportunity to see that.
It is something that I dreamt of all my life and having such an opportunity is a dream come true. I must admit that many of my dreams have come true this year because I started believing they can come true.
Again I realized the power of following your passion and how happy it can make a person and transmit this happiness to other people as well. When I left that theatre I felt such a peaceful warm feeling inside and I will never forget that dancer and the tour.
If she is reading this post, I wish her all the best and to continue to follow her passion because that is what makes her happy and gives her a good vibration and love which she automatically transmits to others. I also want to take the chance to thank her again for teaching me so much about how things go backstage. Thank you! :)
